Background: The new journal will be jointly published by the Higher Education Press of China and Springer-Verlag. The latter will be responsible for marketing the journal to the overseas readers, targeting subscription by the library of hundreds universities. Joining a family of such journals covering 27 subjects such as law and economics, the journal will be published quarterly, with the inaugural date set for January 2007.
Mission: The journal publishes research papers of high quality in all areas of business administration conducted in Chinese universities, to showcase the very best to the world and promote research exchange and collaboration between China and the rest of the world.
Editorial Board: The Editor-in-Chief is Professor Ji Baocheng, President of Renmin University of China, and professor of trade economics. The Editorial Office is hosted by the School of Business, Renmin University of China.
The editorial board comprises active researchers with a track record of research excellence and international perspectives, from top tier business schools in China and leading overseas schools. These individuals are on the leading edge of the current research advances in China and able to assess the quality of research based on international standards.
The board members? responsibilities are mainly threefold: (1) initially, to recommend excellent papers that have previously appeared in a top journal in China, for publication considerations; (2) to help handle submitted manuscripts involving single-blind review of previously published work and double-blind review of original work, likely not more than 12 per year; and (3) to promote the journal as authors, reviewers, and subscribers, in their own institution and research community.
The advisory board consists of prominent academic leaders from top business schools in China, who will help set editorial policies, prompt the journal, and provide resources when needed.
